It supports up to 144Hz refresh rate and 288Hz touch sampling rate, making it smooth for gaming and scrolling. The screen also comes with TÜV Rheinland certifications for low blue light and flicker-free usage, so it’s easy on the eyes.
Performance
Under the hood, the phone is powered by the Snapdragon 6s Gen 3 chipset, built on a 6nm process. It has an octa-core CPU with Kryo cores clocked up to 2.3GHz and an Adreno GPU, ensuring smooth multitasking and decent gaming performance.

The Redmi 15 5G comes in two variants – 4GB RAM + 128GB storage and 8GB RAM + 256GB storage. With memory extension, users can expand RAM up to 16GB, and there’s also support for up to 2TB expandable storage via microSD card.
Cameras
For photography, the phone has a 50MP main rear camera with f/1.8 aperture and an auxiliary lens. It supports 1080p and 720p video recording at 30fps. On the front, there’s an 8MP selfie camera with HDR mode, portrait mode, and even a soft-light ring for better low-light selfies.
Battery & Charging
One of the biggest highlights is its massive 7000mAh battery, which easily promises long backup. It supports 33W fast charging, though the charger is not included in the box.
Security & OS
The Redmi 15 5G includes a side-mounted fingerprint sensor and AI face unlock for security. It runs on Xiaomi’s HyperOS 2, offering a smooth and customized Android experience.

The device supports dual 5G, along with Wi-Fi (2.4GHz/5GHz) and Bluetooth 5.1. It also comes with IP64 rating for dust and splash resistance, NFC support, IR blaster, and Hi-Res Audio with Dolby Atmos.
Verdict
With its large display, Snapdragon performance, giant battery, and 5G support, the Redmi 15 5G looks like a solid budget option for Indian users. While the lack of a bundled charger may disappoint some, the overall package makes it a strong competitor in the under-₹20,000 segment.
